Why indoors?

Outdoor events depend on the season and weather, and rescheduling strains the team calendar. An indoor event can be planned at any time of year.

What makes a good team event

Everyone should be able to join, with no fitness level or prior experience needed. Rounds should be short so nobody waits long. There should be a scoreboard so competition and team spirit build. And the rules should click in seconds, not minutes.

Idea 1: Team tournament

Split people into mixed teams; putting colleagues from different departments together speeds up getting to know each other. Collect points across several games and crown the winning team at the end.

Idea 2: Rotating stations

With large groups, teams rotate between different games. Everyone stays in play and waiting time drops.

Idea 3: Department face-off

Departments compete against each other. Friendly rivalry produces stories people keep telling back at the office.
